Wendy of Pink Stripes chose a winner recipe for this week. It is easy, except that I managed to mess it up. I had just put the cakes in the oven and then saw the measured heavy cream sitting on the counter. Too Late! Just go with it LOLA! So . . . I whipped the cream and served it with the cake and some raspberries. The texture seems to be fine, but I will get it right next time to compare the crumb. I baked in smaller loaf pans, therefore, I froze two of the cakes unsoaked for later use. I can't wait to see the other TWD blogs. I hope everyone is enjoying their summer. Have a good one! lola
