ABC Chocolate-Vanilla Swirl Cookies

Another Flo Braker winner cookie. This recipe makes a ton of these little vanilla and chocolate morsels. I froze some of the dough rolls for "cookies on demand". A vanilla dough is made and a chocolate dough is made. They are rolled and layered and finally twisted to "swirl" the two doughs and rolled. A good idea is to wrap them in plastic and place inside an empty paper towel tube, so the roll does not flatten on one side.

I rolled the dough in some sparkly decorating sugar before cutting into slices and baking. My neighbor said these cookies brought back her childhood, as her mother baked similar cookies for her family. This neighbor will definitely be gifted with some "memories". The remainder of these cookies will be gifted to three wonderful children who are moving to California from Mexico to be closer to their grandparents. This "grandma" will certainly miss them.
