
Sihan of Befuddlement chose this weeks recipe for TWD bakers. I made the topping the day before using a food processor and refrigerated it. I followed the recipe exactly and had the following problems: There was a "pool" of butter in the middle and it seemed not quite done, but the sides were baked. I probably should have covered the sides and continued baking per comments from other bakers. The blueberries still were mostly on the bottom, even though I used fresh berries tossed with some flour. It tasted good, but was not very pretty to look at. I will try this recipe again, using less butter in the crumb topping and distributing some of the berries on the top. Lola, I actually had a small pool of butter in the middle of mine, too, but somehow it disappeared.
