Well, I was going to sit this week out, but after reading the comments and a note from Megan saying how good this cake is, I went with it. Also, there had not been any lemons in my markets for a couple of weeks, but beyond all reason, they showed up by the bags full. I will not be serving this cake until later in the week, so I will post another photo at that time showing how I served it.
Liliana of My Cookbook Addiction chose this weeks recipe for the TWD bakers. I decided to bake the Riviera version. I make my own yogurt and strain it. It is delicious and worked perfectly, along with the chopped rosemary from my terrace garden. I have a fun 9 x 13 baking pan that I do not use very often, so decided to give it a try. Per listed suggestions, I reduced the baking time to 30 minutes and cut back on the baking powder. I made the Lemon Curd on page 462. This was a fun and easy recipe. I am sure my guests will enjoy it. Thank you Liliana for an excellent selection.
I am having so much fun trying the TWD recipe of the week with other bakers. Thank you for comments and I love browsing the creative posts. Have a good week. lola

I'm so glad you decided to make it - and I hope you enjoy it as much as we did!
ReplyDeleteI have that same pan - only I don't know where it is!
Ooooh, you went the Riviera route...now, you've motivated me to try it out this weekend. Love your presentation, and can't wait to hear how it tastes@
