Happy New Year! Happy Anniversary to TWD! I hope everyone enjoyed their holidays. I have been away from my blog for several weeks now - perhaps like other bloggers, just too much to do and never enough time - not that I have been out of the kitchen. Then this easy to prepare little cookie was the selected for TWD this week - I was on it! Laurie of Slush and Julie of Someone's In the Kitchen selected this anniversary recipe. I prepared half of the recipe (enough sweets over the holidays). True to Dorie's description, it provides a chocolate crunch and I like the touch of spice. I will have to hide them so that I do not sneak a nibble at midnight. I think this dough could be rolled into the little balls and frozen ready to be baked as cookies on demand. I will give it try for the kids in my life. Have a good week and I plan to get back into the swing of my cooking groups. Take care, lola
